De Pork Restaurant

De Pork Restaurant is located at 5th Mile, Ward No 2 in Dimapur. It’s a pretty simple setup we have here. We focus on pork dishes because that’s what people in this area really enjoy eating. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep the inside clean for our guests. Dimapur can be a busy place, and 5th Mile has its own rhythm. We get a mix of people coming in, some from the neighborhood and some just passing through on the highway. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who handle the cooking and the cleaning. The kitchen smells like woodsmoke and spices most of the day. We don't do any of that fancy plating you see in magazines. We just put the food on the plate and bring it out. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the day is busier than we expected. That’s just how it goes with a small kitchen. People seem to appreciate that the food is heavy and fills you up. We don't have air conditioning, just the windows and maybe a fan if it’s really hot. It’s a practical place to eat. You come in, find a seat, and have your meal. We keep things basic and don't try to be something we aren't. It’s just a local restaurant for local tastes and simple appetites.
