We are located in the Jantai area, specifically in the 1st Part over here in Purba Midnapur. It is a bit of a trek for some, but we are well-established in the district. We work with spices every day. The air inside the building always has a bit of a kick to it because of the chilies and everything else we handle. It’s just me and a few others running the place. We spent a lot of time figuring out how to store everything properly so it stays fresh in this humidity. It gets quite hot during the summer months. We don't have any big corporate backing, just our own hands and the space we have here. People from nearby villages stop by sometimes. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment and making sure the sacks are tied tight. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. Jantai is a quiet place mostly, so we just get on with our tasks. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the transport from the fields is delayed. That’s just how it goes with agriculture. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a spice business in a rural part of the state. We take things as they come and try to keep the batches good for whoever is buying. It takes a lot of patience to sort through everything, but we don't mind the work. It is what it is.
