Tingkhong Pig Producer Company Limited is situated right at House Number 13 in Ward Number 3. We are near the Tingkhong Thermal area in Dibrugarh. Most of us here have been raising pigs for a long time, so it made sense to group up. The house is where we keep the records and meet up to talk about feed prices or which pigs are ready. It's a busy part of town, 786612 is the code if you're sending anything. We don’t have a big staff, just a few local guys who know their way around a pigsty. The mornings start early, usually before the sun is fully up, because the animals need attention right away. We use the space we have, and it’s often crowded with buckets and sacks of grain. It’s noisy and smells like a farm, but that’s the reality of what we do. We aren't trying to be some big city business. We are just local people trying to make a living from what we grew up doing. Sometimes the electricity goes out because of the thermal plant or just the usual local issues, so we have to do things by hand. The roads around here can be tricky during monsoon, so moving the pigs takes a lot of planning. We mostly just focus on keeping the pens clean and making sure the animals grow well. It's simple work but it takes all our time. We just want to do right by the community.
