Our place is on Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Avenue in Dibrugarh. It’s a well-known street around here. Purbanchal Pharmaceuticals has been part of this area for some time. The office is a regular building that we’ve made our own. We have several rooms filled with shelves. It’s where we keep all the pharmaceutical goods we handle. The air in Dibrugarh can be humid, so we keep the fans going all day. We start early before the heat gets too bad. Most of the staff walks or bikes to work. It’s that kind of neighborhood. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and making sure the counts are right. Accuracy is what we focus on. We don't have a marketing department or a sales team in suits. It’s just us. We talk to our customers on the phone and they know us by name. It’s a personal way of doing business. Sometimes the rain in Assam is so loud on the roof we have to shout a little. We just laugh about it. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and eat lunch. It’s a simple routine. We don't have big goals of changing the world. We just want to provide the medicines people ask for. It’s a steady job and we are glad to have it. The day usually ends with us locking up and heading out into the evening air.
