Patkai Himalaya Foundation

We are located in Karbi Anglong. Our base is at Mahesh Terang’s place in Guru Kata Gaon. It is a beautiful area surrounded by hills and trees. We have been here for a long time and we really love this part of Assam. The foundation is run by a few of us who live right here in the village. We don't have a fancy office in a city. We prefer to stay here where our roots are. Guru Kata Gaon is a small village and life moves at its own pace. We don't have a big team or a lot of expensive equipment. We just work with what we have. It is an honest and simple way of doing things. We don't have any professional writers to do our marketing. We just speak for ourselves. Our days are spent working on local projects and talking to the people who live nearby. Sometimes the weather or the roads make things difficult but we always find a way to manage. We are not a big deal and we don't want to be. We just want to do our part for our community. If you ever find yourself in Karbi Anglong you can come and see us. Mahesh is well known in the village so anyone can show you the way. We are just regular folks living and working in a beautiful place.
