Namrup College Of Teacher Education (B.Ed College)

Namrup College of Teacher Education is situated over in Parbatpur, which is in the Dibrugarh and Sibsagar area of Assam. It is a beautiful part of the country, very green and often quite rainy. We are a B.Ed college, so our main thing is helping people get ready to teach in schools. The campus is part of the larger Namrup College area. It’s not a very loud place. Usually, you just hear the sound of the rain on the roof or students talking in the corridors between their lessons. We don't have a massive marketing budget or anything like that. We mostly rely on word of mouth from people in the local community. The classrooms are basic but they do the job. Our administrative staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from fixing a desk to helping with registration forms. Life moves at a different pace here in Upper Assam. We try to make sure our students feel comfortable while they are studying for their degrees. It can be hard work, but we are all in it together. Sometimes the roads getting here can be a bit tricky during the monsoon, but the students always find their way. We are just a local college doing what needs to be done to help the next generation of teachers get their start. It’s honest work in a quiet corner of the state.
