Military Engineer Services

We are based out of the GE Air Port Station in Chabua, which is in the Debrugarh district. Being near an airport means there is always something going on. Our job involves a lot of maintenance and engineering work around the station. It's not the kind of place where things sit still for long. The weather in Assam can be pretty wet, so we spend a lot of time dealing with rain-related issues or keeping the infrastructure in good shape. It’s a lot of practical work, nothing too flashy. We have a crew that knows the layout of the place like the back of their hands. Some days are just about routine checks, and other days something big needs fixing right away. Being out here in Chabua means we are a bit away from the main city, but we have everything we need to keep the station running. We use old trucks and basic tools for most things. It's a steady rhythm of work. You get used to the sound of planes and the humidity after a while. We aren't here to impress anyone, just to make sure the engineering side of the airport stays solid. It's a lot of mud and grease sometimes, but that’s the job. There is a small canteen nearby where we grab lunch most days. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay dry when the storms roll in from the hills. It is mostly just about keeping things functional day in and day out.
