Classic Hardware

Classic Hardware is situated out in Village Hasilpur, right across from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation India site. Being near a big place like that means there is always something happening on the road, but the village itself stays fairly calm. Our post office is in Silchar, so we have to head that way for mail and other errands. The shop is a basic setup where we keep all the tools and supplies people around here need. In the mornings, you can see the workers heading over to the ONGC gates while we are just opening up. It is a lot of manual work, moving heavy bags or stacking metal parts. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning. It is just a regular hardware store for the local people and the occasional contractor. The weather plays a big part in our day; if it rains, things get a bit muddy around the entrance. We have been at this location for a while, and we know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It is a quiet way to make a living, away from the big city noise. We just focus on keeping the shelves filled and helping whoever comes in with whatever they are looking for. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a shop in Hasilpur doing what it does every single day without much fuss.
