Assam Medical College

We are located over in Barbari, right here in Dibrugarh. Most folks in Assam know the spot. It’s a big place, plenty of buildings and people walking around all the time. It gets quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is arriving for their shift or whatever else they have planned. Being in this part of Dibrugarh means we see a lot of faces from all over. The staff here has been around for a long time. Some of us grew up near Barbari, so working at Assam Medical College feels like being home. It’s not just a job for us. There are a lot of departments and different wings to keep track of. It can be a bit confusing if you’re visiting for the first time, but we usually point people in the right direction. We spend our days making sure things are running okay. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one shift at a time. The weather here can be a bit much sometimes, with the rain and all, but the work doesn't stop. We've got students, doctors, and all sorts of workers coming through the gates every day. It's a steady flow of activity. We don't really do much talking about ourselves; there’s just too much to do. We're just here in Barbari, keeping the place going as best as we can. It’s a landmark for the town.
