Vijay Motors

Vijay Motors is our little shop located in the Sawtamali Market right by Shivaji Putala Chowk. We have been sitting here opposite Dhule Colony for quite some time now, just doing our daily work with motors and parts. It’s a busy area and the noise from the street usually starts early in the morning. My cousin and I run the place and we don’t really have any employees to help us out. The shop isn’t much to look at, just a small space filled with tools and some spare parts we’ve collected over the years. We mostly deal with local folks who bring in their bikes or cars when something starts making a funny noise. Sometimes the traffic at the chowk is so bad that people have a hard time stopping, but our regulars always find a way. We don’t do any big advertising or have a fancy sign. The one we have is actually fading a bit from the sun. We just open up, have some tea, and wait for the first customer. Some days it’s just one or two people, and other days we’re busy until late in the evening. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve gotten used to the grease on our hands and the smell of oil. We know the other shop owners around here pretty well. If we don’t have a part, we usually know who does. It’s just how things go.
