Our shop is right near the railway station in Chalisgaon. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains all day long. You get used to the whistling and the rumbling after a week or two. It’s a good spot because there are always people coming off the trains looking for something to drink. We mostly sell cold drinks and whatever else people need when they are traveling. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded when a big train arrives. We keep the coolers running 24/7 because nobody wants a warm drink in this heat. Sometimes the power goes out, and that’s a real problem for us. We have to scramble to keep things cold then. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My cousin helps out in the evenings. We don't have a big menu or anything, just what is in the fridge. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep out at night. We’ve seen a lot of changes around the station over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. People know they can find us easily. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking here. We just sell drinks to folks who are thirsty from their journey. It's honest work and keeps us busy. The station area is always dusty, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the bottles and the counter to keep things looking decent for customers.
