Sanjay Kirana Store

Sanjay Kirana Store is right at Noorani Chowk in Taloda. We are in Ward No. 4, very close to the Jama Masjid. You can usually hear the calls to prayer from our front door, which is a nice part of the day. The shop is a typical local kirana store where we stock all the daily essentials people need for their kitchens. It gets quite busy in the mornings when everyone is out buying milk and bread, and then again in the evening when people are getting stuff for dinner. We know most of our customers by name since they live just down the street or around the corner. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just a small shop where things are piled on shelves. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to find exactly what you’re looking for if you don’t ask, but we know where everything is kept. Taloda is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, and our store is a bit of a meeting point for neighbors to chat for a minute. We don’t have fancy lighting or computerized aisles. It’s just us behind the counter, weighing out grains or bagging up sugar. We’ve been here at Noorani Chowk for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere. It’s a simple life, running a grocery store, but it’s what we do. We just keep the shelves full and the doors open for the community. Every day is pretty much the same here.
