Kartika Rural Nidhi Limited

We are over at Hawasabai Rajaram Malia’s place in Methi village. It’s out here in Shindhkheda. Most days it is pretty quiet around the office. We started Kartika Rural Nidhi Limited because there wasn't much for the people right here in the village to use when they needed help with their savings. It's not a big fancy office with glass doors or anything like that. Just a regular room where we sit down and talk. You’ll find us easily if you know the Malia family house. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors who stop by. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It’s a rural life, you know? We don't have those big city computers that work fast all the time. We do things by hand mostly and make sure the books are right. People come in after working in the fields. They might have a bit of money they want to put aside or they need a small hand with something. We sit, have some tea, and get the paperwork done. There are no suits or ties here. Just plain clothes and honest work. We have been in Methi for a while now and everyone knows where the door is. It’s just how things are done in this part of Shindhkheda. We don't see any reason to change it.
