Dhanvantari Hospital

Dhanvantari Hospital is situated on Weekly Bazar Road, which as the name suggests, gets incredibly packed once a week. On those days, it's a real challenge just to get to the front door because of all the stalls and people looking for deals. The rest of the week, it’s a bit quieter, but there’s always something going on. We started this place because the area needed a hospital that was easy for everyone to reach. We aren't trying to be some high-tech facility with robots and glass walls. We’ve got regular beds, a waiting area that’s seen better days but is still comfortable, and a small staff that works hard. You might see some dust on the high ledges sometimes, or a lightbulb that flickers for a day before we get around to changing it, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We don’t use a lot of medical jargon when we talk to people; we just explain things simply so everyone knows what’s happening with their health. Most of the folks who come in are our neighbors from around the corner. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids in eventually. It’s a steady kind of life here on Weekly Bazar Road. We keep the records in big ledgers and filing cabinets, and we know exactly where everything is without needing a computer to tell us every single thing.
