Being opposite a school means our day is timed by the sound of bells and kids playing outside during their breaks. It is a very lively part of Shirpur. The shop itself is packed from floor to ceiling with different medicines and health products. We do not have a lot of extra space, so we have to be very careful about where we put things or we will never find them again. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or parents picking something up after they drop their children off at the school. We have a small fan behind the counter that stays on all day to keep the heat away. The Sangitla complex is an older building, so it has its quirks like a squeaky front door. We spend most of our time checking expiry dates and talking to the people who stop in for their regular supplies. It is a steady way to make a living and we know most of our regulars by their first names. We do not use any fancy computer systems for everything, just the basic stuff to keep track of what we sell. It is an honest little shop on Nimzari Road and we like it that way.
