Aman Cold Drinks

Aman Cold Drinks is right near the bus stand in Khadgaon Village. This part of Jamner Taluka gets very dusty and the sun is really strong in the summer months. We opened this shop because people waiting for the bus needed a place to get a cold bottle of water or soda. It can be a long wait if the bus is running late, which happens more often than not. We have a few benches outside where people sit and talk while they wait. The benches are a bit old and the paint is peeling, but they work fine. My brother and I take turns running the place. We don't have a lot of items, just what people usually ask for when they are traveling. The road outside is always busy with tractors and motorcycles. I spend a lot of my time sweeping the floor because of all the dirt that blows in. We use big ice blocks to keep things cold when the electricity goes out. It is a common thing around here. We know the bus drivers and they often stop by for a quick drink before heading out again. Life in the village is quiet for the most part, except for the noise from the bus stand. We close up the shop once the sun goes down and the last bus has gone. It is a simple way to make a living for our family.
