Tafajjal Tea Stores

I'm usually at the shop in Sutarpara Village pretty early. Building No.65 isn't hard to find since we are right near the post office. Matia Tehsil is a quiet enough place but things get busy when people come in for their tea. My hands are usually stained from handling the bags. We keep the tea in big containers and the smell fills up the whole room by noon. Goalpara can get quite hot in the summers, so we keep the windows open. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, and I have to wipe the counters down again. It's just a regular shop, nothing fancy. We’ve been here a while now. The post office workers come by sometimes just to say hello. I spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure everything is where it should be. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit. People from the village walk past all day. Some stop, some don't. It’s a simple way to make a living. I don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the tea gets sold. The village is small so everyone knows where Building 65 is. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The mornings are the best part of the day when it’s still cool outside before the afternoon heat starts hitting the roof. It's a lot of work but it's okay.
