Sapatgram College

Sapatgram College is right here in Sapatgram, over in the Dhubri district of Assam. If you know the 783337 area, you probably know where the building sits. It isn't one of those glass and steel places you see in big cities. It's a bit older and has seen plenty of monsoons. The rain really comes down hard around here, and you can hear it hitting the roof during lectures. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other's families. It's the kind of place where the gates open early and the watchman knows most of the students by their first names. We have classrooms that get a bit warm in the summer, but we keep the fans going. There isn't much to say about the architecture, it's just a functional space for classes. You’ll see students hanging around the entrance before the first bell, mostly talking about local things or their exams. The walk from the main road isn't too long, though it can get a bit dusty if it hasn't rained in a week. We just go about our business day by day, teaching what needs to be taught and making sure the registers are filled out correctly. It’s a quiet life in this part of Assam, and the college is just a steady part of that routine. Nothing fancy, just a local spot where people come to get their degrees and move on with their lives.
