Nirmal Chai

Our shop is right in Chowk Bazar, specifically Ward No. 05 on Unc Road. If you know Dhubri, you know how busy the market gets. We’ve been here at Nirmal Chai for quite some time. It's a narrow space, but it fits all the tea we need to sell. People stop in while they are doing their grocery shopping in the bazaar. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the counter and moving the stock around. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We sell mostly loose tea. Some days are busier than others, especially when the new shipments arrive from the gardens. We spend a lot of time weighing out bags for regular customers who have been coming to us for years. It's a local spot, nothing like those big chains you see in the cities. We don't do much fancy packaging. We just use plain bags and focus on what's inside. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get deliveries in, but that's just how life is here in Dhubri. We keep the place clean and tidy as much as possible, though the dust from the road always finds its way in. It’s a honest way to make a living and keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
