Maa Jagdamba Bhandar

Maa Jagdamba Bhandar is located on Central Road, right in the heart of Goal Bazaar. We’re near the SBI Bank, which is where most people park their bikes. Being in the bazaar means it’s never quiet. There is a constant drone of voices and the smell of spices from the shop next door. Our place is mostly a storeroom with a small counter at the front. We deal with all sorts of items, from tea to general groceries. The walls are lined with bags stacked nearly to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment arrives and we haven't sold the old stock yet. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger, and everything is written down by hand. Computers are too much trouble for a place like this. My brother and I run the place, and we’ve been doing it since our father retired. We don’t have a website or any fancy flyers. Word of mouth is how most people find us. Some days are exhausting, especially when we have to unload a whole truck in the heat. But when the sun goes down and the bazaar cools off, we sit out front and talk to the other shopkeepers. It’s a community here, and we’re just glad to have our spot in it. It’s not a perfect shop, but it’s ours.
