Life Mind Social Welfare Foundation

We’re located at House Number 203 in the village of Bamunirvita. It’s near Jaleswar Takimari in the Goalpara district. Being out in the rural part of Assam means we have a very different perspective on social welfare. It isn't about big board meetings or fancy reports. For us, it’s about what’s happening on the ground in our own village. We spend a lot of time just talking to people and seeing what the actual needs are. The office is just a simple room in the village where we keep our records and meet people. It’s often dusty or a bit cluttered, but that’s because we’re actually working. We don’t have a marketing team to make us look perfect. We’re just local residents who wanted to start something to help the area. Sometimes it’s hard to get things moving when the weather is bad or when resources are tight. But we keep showing up anyway. People in Bamunirvita know us, so we don’t need to do much advertising. It’s a very direct way of working. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there, we just want to be reliable for the folks in Goalpara. It’s been a learning process for all of us here. We don't always get everything right on the first try, but we keep trying because this is our home too. It’s just about being a good neighbor in the end, which is something we really value.
