Running Vikas Cement Products out here in Jetlasar village keeps us pretty busy. We are located in the Jetpur Tehsil area, right near the Government Hospital, which is actually a good landmark if people are trying to find where we are. The dust from the cement is just part of the life here, you can't really avoid it no matter how much you clean the floors. It is a bit of a trek for some folks to come out this way, but we have been here in this spot for a while now. The morning starts early before the sun gets too hot, especially during the summer months when it's really tough to be outside for long. There is always some noise from the road or the nearby hospital, but we don't mind it much. We have our small workspace and the yard where the stuff sits. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means, just a practical place where work gets done. Most of the guys here live nearby so we all know each other well. We sit around sometimes during the breaks and just talk about the weather or local news. It’s a simple way of working. We don't spend much on advertising because people usually just see the yard or hear about us from someone else. It is just a regular village business, trying to keep up with the orders and making sure the trucks get loaded right every day.
