Ashish Polymers

Ashish Polymers is located inside the Patidar Ginning Compound on Junagadh Road. It’s an old compound with a lot of history, but now it’s full of different small industries. We occupy one of the larger sections toward the back of the property. Dealing with polymers means there’s always a specific smell in the air, a bit like burnt plastic sometimes when the machines are running hot. We produce various parts and materials that other local factories need. The floor is always covered in tiny pellets or scraps of material that we have to sweep up constantly. It’s a never-ending job keeping the place tidy. We’ve got a couple of big presses that take up most of the space. My office is just a corner partitioned off with some plywood and a glass door. It’s not fancy but it gets the job done. Junagadh Road is always busy with tractors and trucks, so there’s a constant hum of traffic outside our gate. We usually start our shift around eight in the morning and have tea around eleven. Some of the guys have been working here since we first opened up in this compound. We’ve seen other businesses come and go, but we’ve managed to stick around. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. If you’re coming down Junagadh Road, you just look for the Patidar Ginning sign and head inside.
