Imperial Import & Export

Imperial Import & Export is located right in Bazar Chowk. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded with shoppers and vendors selling all sorts of things. Our building is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people working in the nearby shops. The office isn't very large, and it’s tucked away from the main street noise just enough to let us think. We handle both imports and exports, so there is always a variety of tasks on our plates. One minute we are dealing with a local delivery, and the next we are on the phone about something coming from far away. It’s a bit of a cramped space with boxes often stacked in the corners and ledgers sitting on every flat surface. We don’t really have a reception area; people just walk in and find us at our desks. On festival days, the chowk gets even more crowded and the noise is something else, but it’s all part of being in such a central location. Our office door is usually left slightly ajar to let some air circulate, and you can hear the sounds of the market all day long. We’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of the place, and it would feel strange to work anywhere else now. We just focus on getting the goods moved and keeping the records straight.
