Shri Ghanesh Stone

Shri Ghanesh Stone is located right on Bari Road, near the NH-11 in Nadbai. Being close to the highway means it’s always dusty and loud from the trucks passing by. We deal with all kinds of stones here, mostly for building and paving. The yard is usually full of slabs and blocks piled up high. It’s heavy work, and we spend most of our time moving things around with the crane or by hand when we have to. My hands are always rough from touching the stone all day. We don't really have a big office, just a small cabin where we keep the ledgers and sit for tea. People driving along the highway often stop to see what we have in stock. We don’t try to sell them anything fancy; we just show them the piles and tell them the price per foot. It’s straightforward. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, especially when it rains and the yard turns into a muddy mess. But the stone doesn't mind the weather. We’ve been in Nadbai for quite a while, and most of the locals know where to find us. It’s a bit of a rough-and-tumble business. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to keep the yard moving. There's something satisfying about seeing a truck leave full of stone that we’ve sorted through. It’s just how we get by every day in this part of town.
