Jagan Construction

Jagan Bhawan is the name of our building and it’s also where Jagan Construction operates. It’s an old house that we converted into an office a long time ago. The stairs are a bit narrow and they creak when you walk up them. We like it here because it feels like home more than a workplace. There are piles of blueprints in almost every corner and the smell of old paper is everywhere. We don't have many employees, just a core group that has stayed together through a lot of projects. Sometimes we sit on the porch to talk about the work because the light is better out there. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. We have an old clock on the wall that hasn't worked in years, but nobody wants to take it down. Our tools are kept in the shed out back and we spend a lot of time cleaning and sharpening them. People stop by just to say hello sometimes, which is nice. We don't use much technology besides our phones. Most of our planning is still done with pencils and rulers on big sheets of paper. It might be the slow way to do things, but we’re comfortable with it. We just take things one day at a time and try to finish what we started.
