You can find Ujjwal Kiran Foundation at Plot No - 1300, Khata No - 207 in Kurumitha, Dhenkanal. We are a small group of folks who wanted to bring a bit of light to our local area. Dhenkanal is a nice place, but like anywhere else, there are people who struggle to get by. We didn't want to just sit around and talk about it, so we started this foundation to take some action. We focus on a lot of different things, whatever seems most urgent at the time. Sometimes it's helping out at the local school, and other times it's helping people get the right medical care. We don't have a big budget, so we have to be smart about how we spend every rupee we get. The office is just a simple room with some chairs and an old desk. We do most of our meetings there or out in the village where the work is. We like to keep things personal and local. When someone comes to us for help, they are talking to a neighbor, not a stranger in a suit from the city. We know the families here, and we know the land. It makes a big difference when you actually live in the community you’re trying to help. We are just regular people, doing what we think is right, and hoping it makes a bit of a difference for the people of Kurumitha. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little part of it.
