Ss Hospital

If you are in Talcher, you will find us near the National Thermal Power Corporation. It’s a very industrial part of the town, so there is always a lot of dust and trucks moving around outside. The hospital has been sitting here for a long time, providing care to the workers from the NTPC and the people who live nearby. We aren't a high-end private facility with fancy lobbies. It’s a basic hospital where the rooms are functional and the equipment is well-used. We see a lot of heat-related issues here because Talcher gets incredibly hot during the summer months. We try to keep the fans and the coolers running, but it's a struggle sometimes. The staff is used to the environment. We don't have a PR person or anyone to write nice things about us. We are just a local hospital doing what we can for the community. Sometimes the power goes out because of the heavy load in the area, but we have a backup generator to keep things going. It’s not an easy place to work, but it’s important. We know most of our regular patients by name. We don't have a website with online booking. People just show up or call the landline. It’s an old-school way of running a business, but it works for us here in Talcher.
