Living and working as the Principal at the IGIT Sarang Campus is quite an experience. My residence is at Qtr No-D/13, which is right on the campus grounds here in the Dhenkanal district. It’s very convenient because I don’t have a long commute, but it also means I’m never really far from work. The campus is quite large and there’s always something happening, whether it's student activities or maintenance work. My day usually starts early with a walk across the grounds to the main office. Dhenkanal is a bit more rural, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the big cities. The house I live in is a standard campus quarter, nothing special but it’s home. We have a lot of trees around, which is nice. Most of my time is spent in meetings or dealing with the day-to-day operations of the institution. It can be a bit overwhelming sometimes with the number of students and staff we have, but we manage. I often have people dropping by my quarters even after hours if there’s an emergency or something that needs immediate attention. That’s just part of the job when you live where you work. We try to keep things structured, but in a campus environment, things often change at the last minute. I’ve been here for a while now and have seen many batches of students graduate and move on to their careers.
