Our office is tucked away in Mahadia village, which is part of the Belapada post office area in Dhenkanal, Orissa. You have to go via Gadasila to find us. It’s a bit of a journey if you aren't from around here. The pin code is 759025. We work as part of the Engineering and Construction Division. Being out in the village means we are right in the middle of the landscape where the projects are built. It’s quiet, mostly greenery and open space around. We have a basic setup where the engineers and the site supervisors meet up. It’s not polished at all. There are often boots by the door and blueprints spread across every table. We get a lot of dust from the nearby sites, so cleaning is a never-ending job. We’ve got a few phones and a decent enough internet connection most days. The local folks in the village are used to seeing us by now. We aren't doing anything fancy, just managing the construction tasks as they come. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when there’s a deadline approaching. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep each other motivated. It’s just a group of regular people doing the heavy lifting for the company in this part of Orissa. There’s no corporate fluff here, just the daily grind of building things.
