The mill is right at Station Bazar, Plot 71/11499. If you come by, you’ll hear the machines before you see us. It’s a noisy place with flour dust always hanging in the air. We’ve been running Dhenkanal Flour Mills here for a long time. It’s a straightforward business of grinding grain into flour. We get big shipments of wheat and it’s a lot of work to move those heavy sacks around. My back usually aches by the end of the day. It’s not a glamorous job, but people need flour for their rotis and bread. We don't have any polished mission statements. We just show up, turn on the equipment, and get to work. The location near the station is good for transport, but it means there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We deal with local farmers and wholesalers mostly. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend hours getting them back in order with grease all over our hands. That’s just how it is. We are a small team and everyone knows their job. It’s a practical, local operation and we take pride in doing the work ourselves. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation, we just want to keep the mill running well for the town. It is what we know how to do best after all these years.
