If you head out to Village Sripani Ahom Pather, you’ll find us. We are Jk Bricks & Block Enterprise. This part of Sissiborgaon is mostly green fields and quiet roads, but we stay busy with our blocks and bricks. It’s a rural area, so we know everyone around here. When someone wants to build a new storeroom or a small house, they usually come talk to us. We’ve got a setup that works for the local needs. Making blocks in this part of Assam is a bit of a challenge when the monsoon hits because everything gets so wet. We have to plan our work around the rains. My cousins work with me, and we spend our days out in the open. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and carrying, but it keeps us fit. We don't have any fancy brochures or a front office with air conditioning. We just have our yard and the machines. Sometimes the road to Sripani gets a bit muddy and the trucks have a hard time, but we always figure it out. We like the quiet life out here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the local news while the blocks are setting. It’s not a complicated life. We make things that stay standing for a long time, and that's enough for us. If you’re passing through the taluka, you can’t miss us. Just look for the stacks of blocks near the post office area.
