Ajanta Stones

Ajanta Stones is based out of Baseri. It is a small town where everyone knows each other, and the stone business is a big part of why we are here. We have a yard where we keep the different types of stones we process. It is mostly local material that we get from the surrounding areas. We do not have a fancy address with a building number because everyone in Baseri knows where the stone yards are. We spend our days cutting, polishing, and sorting through pieces of stone. It’s a lot of manual labor. We use water to keep the blades cool, so the ground is usually wet and muddy. It is just the way it is. We have a few guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to spot a good piece of stone just by looking at the texture. We supply to local builders and sometimes to people coming from the bigger cities nearby. Our office is just a small room with a desk and some old chairs. We prefer to be outside where the action is anyway. The stone comes in, we work on it, and then it goes out on a truck. There is nothing complicated about it. We do not use any big marketing words. We just show the stone and let the customer decide if it’s what they need for their project. It’s a quiet life in Baseri, but the work is steady.
