Vinki Pre Primary School

Vinki Pre Primary School is right in the heart of Tejaswinagar in Dharwad. We are located in Shaktinagar, which is a nice residential part of the city. It’s a small place specifically for the little ones who are just starting out with their education. Our building looks like a regular house from the outside, which helps the children feel less scared when their parents drop them off in the morning. Inside, there are colorful mats on the floor and lots of plastic toys scattered around in the corners. It’s rarely quiet here. Between the crying and the laughing, there is always some kind of noise coming from the classrooms. The teachers have a lot of patience, which they definitely need when dealing with twenty toddlers at once. We spend a lot of time teaching them how to share and how to sit still for a few minutes. Dharwad weather is usually pleasant, so we let them play outside in the small yard whenever we can. There is a lot of sand and some small slides that they really enjoy. We don’t follow any fancy systems, we just make sure the kids are safe and learning their basics like colors and shapes. The parents live nearby, so they often walk over to pick up their kids at noon. It’s a very local, neighborhood kind of school where everyone knows each other’s names and the families often chat outside the gates when school gets out.
