Vidya Kendra Tutorials is located over on Sunmati Rode. It’s a place where we help kids with their schoolwork. Dharwad is a town that cares a lot about education, so there are always students looking for a bit of extra help after their regular classes are over. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The building is just a regular place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have tables and chairs where the students sit and we go over their lessons. Sometimes we spend hours on just one chapter if it’s a hard one. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find out about us from their neighbors or friends at school. It’s a local operation. We open up in the afternoon and stay until the last student heads home. Sunmati Rode gets a bit busy around that time, but it’s fine. We know the rhythm of the street. Dealing with different subjects every day keeps us busy. Some kids are great at science but struggle with languages, and others are the opposite. We just try to help them get through their exams without too much stress. It’s a lot of talking and writing on the board. We are just regular people trying to make sure the kids understand what they are reading in their textbooks. There is always something to do.
