The Raibag Taluka Grape Growers Processors Exports Society Ltd

Our group is based at Plot No. 260-262 in the Belur Industrial Area. The Raibag Taluka Grape Growers Processors Exports Society Ltd is quite a mouthful to say, but it describes exactly what we are. We are a collection of people who deal with grapes, from growing them in the fields to getting them ready for export. Being in the industrial area gives us the space we need for the processing machinery and the large crates we use for transport. The plots we have are quite large, and there’s always something happening, especially during the harvest season. That’s when things get really hectic and we’re working around the clock. The smell of fruit is everywhere during those months. We have to be careful with the temperature and how we handle the grapes so they don't get bruised. It’s not a fancy corporate office; it’s more like a large shed with a lot of activity. We deal with farmers from all over the Raibag Taluka area. Some of us have been working with grapes since we were kids. We don't have a lot of polished marketing materials. We just focus on the logistics of moving fruit from the vine to the international market. The Belur Industrial Area is a bit dusty, and the trucks make a lot of noise, but it’s the right place for us. We just try to keep the operations running smoothly and make sure everyone gets their fair share of the work.
