You can find Sdm Narayana Hrudayalaya Heart Centre located within the SDM Medical College grounds in Manjushree Nagar, Sattur. Being part of the medical college campus means there are always students, doctors, and nurses moving around. It’s a very active place, especially in the mornings when the shifts change. The heart centre itself is its own busy world. We see people who have come from quite far away, often from the smaller villages around Sattur, because they need their hearts checked. The walk through Manjushree Nagar to get to us can be a bit long if you aren't used to the campus size. Inside the centre, it’s a lot of paperwork and people waiting for their turns. We try to keep things as organized as possible, but with so many patients, it can get a little chaotic at times. The nurses are usually the ones running the show, making sure everyone is in the right place. We aren't here to be a fancy hotel; we are here to do the work that needs to be done. Most of us have been working on this campus for years, so we’ve seen it grow and change. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but that’s just how it is at a heart centre in a place like Sattur. We mostly just focus on getting people the help they need and then heading home.
