Mallasajjan Prakashana

You can find Mallasajjan Prakashana over at the Shri K.G. Nadgir College of Physical Education. It is a bit of an unusual spot for an office since we are right there on the campus. We spend our days surrounded by students running around and the sound of whistles from the sports fields. Our room is filled with stacks of paper and old books that have been sitting on the shelves for a long time. It smells like old ink and glue in here, which I guess is normal for what we do. The desks are pushed together to make more space for the manuscripts we are working on. We don't have a big sign outside, so people usually have to ask around the college gate to find which building we are in. The lighting isn't the best, especially in the evenings, but we have a few desk lamps that help. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the pages. It’s a quiet kind of work, very different from the noise outside on the athletic tracks. Sometimes the professors stop by to chat for a bit. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just stay until the work for the day is finished. It is a small operation and we handle everything ourselves, from the initial sorting to the final packing. It feels more like a library than a business office.
