We've been working out of Shyamala Nilaya in Sanmati Nagar for a while now. Most people know the spot near Kelgeri Road in Dharwad. It's just a regular office space where we handle different consumer items that come and go. Dealing with imports and exports sounds like a big job but really it's just about checking papers and making sure boxes get where they need to be. We are right there on the 2nd Main. Sometimes the traffic on the cross roads gets a bit messy but we manage. My name is Kiravi and this is how we keep the lights on. It’s a small operation here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or at the desk. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which helps when we're trying to figure out shipping schedules. We don't have fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just us working through the daily list of products. If you walk down the 2nd Cross, you'll see where we are. We've stayed in this part of Karnataka because it’s home. There’s a lot of paperwork with consumer goods, but after a few years, you get used to the rhythm of it. We try to keep things moving without too much fuss. It isn't always smooth, especially when there are delays at the port or with the trucks, but that's just part of the business we chose to be in. We just take things as they come and do the work.
