We are located in Hubli, specifically in the Keshwapur area. Kanitris Gem & Jewelery Private Limited operates out of Rotson Casa, which is a building tucked behind the Karnatak Bank in Bhavani Nagar. You have to head up to the fourth floor to find us at Flat No. 304. It’s a bit of a climb if you don’t use the elevator. We’ve been here for a bit now. The atmosphere in Hubli-Dharwad is a little different from the bigger cities like Bangalore, which we like. It’s a bit more relaxed. Our workspace is full of tools and small packets of stones. We spend a lot of time looking at jewelry pieces under the light. Sometimes the power goes out, but that’s just life here. We don’t have a big storefront on the street, so we mostly work with people who know us already. It's a small team, maybe just a couple of us on some days. We keep our records in big binders and try to stay on top of the orders. The view from the fourth floor gives us a decent look at Bhavani Nagar. It’s mostly houses and a few shops around. We usually start the day early and wrap up when the work is finished. There isn't much to it, just honest work with gems and jewelry. We like the quiet here. It lets us focus on the small details. We take a tea break in the afternoon and keep going.
