We’ve been here at 58 Keshwapur for a while now. Most folks know us because we’re right near the State Bank of Hyderabad in Dharwad. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their errands. Our shop is just full of stuff for the house. We don’t try to be anything fancy, just a place where you can get what you need without a fuss. Sometimes the shelves get a bit cluttered, but we usually know where everything is if you ask. The building has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the rainy season, but it works for us. My uncle started this and now I’m the one mostly looking after things day to day. We see a lot of the same faces coming in from the neighborhood. It’s nice when people stop to chat for a minute after they’ve finished at the bank next door. Dharwad has changed over the years, more traffic mostly, but our corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep the doors open and try to stay organized enough to help whoever walks in. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us and the products we’ve always carried. If you’re walking past the bank, you’ll see our sign right there. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes and making sure things are in stock. It’s a quiet life but we like being part of the Keshwapur community and helping out neighbors.
