Guru Engineering

Our place is at C-449 in the Industrial Estate on Gokul Road. If you know the area, you know it is mostly factories and workshops everywhere you look. It can get pretty dusty and noisy during the day with all the trucks moving in and out of the estate. We have been based here for a good number of years now. Inside the unit, it is mostly just us working on various engineering parts and pieces. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room; if you walk in, you will probably just find one of us covered in a bit of grease or looking at a drawing. The fans are always running to keep the heat down, but it still gets quite warm in the afternoons. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for breaks. It is a straightforward operation. We don't go in for big speeches about what we do; we just take the orders and get the engineering work done. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole day fixing it ourselves, which is just part of the job. It is a bit of a rough-and-ready environment, but we like it that way. We know the neighbors around the estate and we all kind of look out for each other when things get busy. It is just life in the estate.
