Gmr Industries Ltd. Haliyal, Karnataka

We are located in Dharwad, on the first floor of a building called Prashanti. It is situated in the Hakki Compound, right at the 7th Cross in Saptapur. This is where we handle things for Gmr Industries Ltd specifically for the Haliyal area in Karnataka. The office is pretty simple. We have a few rooms and a main area where the staff sits. Dharwad is a nice place to work because it’s not as chaotic as some of the larger hubs, but we still stay very busy. Being in Saptapur means we are close to a lot of local spots, so finding lunch is never a problem. The building itself is an older style, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of paperwork coming in from the Haliyal site, and our job is to sort it all out and make sure the accounts and reports are correct. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living here, so we just wait it out and chat for a bit. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t really do anything fancy; we just show up, do the work that needs doing for the industry side, and head home. The 7th Cross can get a bit narrow with parked scooters, but it’s home to us. It’s just a regular office doing regular work every day for the people in the region.
