Future Biotech

We are located in Lab 1 at the Institute of Bio Technology, which is part of the University of Agricultural Science. It’s a bit different working on a university campus compared to an industrial park. We have to follow all the campus rules and the pace is a little different here. Our work is all about biotech. We spend most of our hours looking through microscopes or checking on cultures. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the hum of the lab equipment. The lab is filled with glassware, chemicals, and various instruments that we use every day. We don't have a big front office or a reception area. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us in our lab coats. We share the building with students and other researchers, so there’s always someone around. Sometimes the experiments don't go exactly as planned, and we have to start over from scratch. That can be frustrating, but it’s part of the process. We keep careful records of everything we do in our notebooks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s interesting enough to keep us coming back every morning. We walk over to the university canteen for lunch most days. It’s a simple life focused on science. We aren't doing anything fancy; we're just doing the research that needs to get done. The days are long but we enjoy the quiet of the lab environment.
