Chowgule Industries Ltd(Thermax)

Down here in Dharwad, Karnataka, our place, Chowgule Industries Ltd, sits right where people expect it to be. Working with the Thermax side of things means we deal with a lot of industrial equipment every single day. It’s not the quietest job in the world, but it’s what we do. The roads around Dharwad are familiar to us, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the trucks coming in and out of the yard. Most of us living nearby just walk or take a quick scooter ride to get here in the morning. It’s a big company name on the sign, but inside, it’s just a bunch of guys from the local area making sure the machines are doing what they should. We don’t have a big marketing team writing stuff for us. We just focus on the orders and making sure the inventory is right. Sometimes the monsoon makes things a bit messy around the entrance, but that’s just Karnataka for you. We’ve had some of the same people working here for ages, so it’s got a steady feel to it. You won’t find any shiny brochures here, just regular people in work clothes getting things moving. We have our lunch together in the canteen and talk about the local news or how the cricket match went last night. It’s a practical life, and we like being part of the industrial side of the city. Being linked with Thermax keeps us busy.
