Channapa Bricks

Out on Karwar Road in Kalghatg, specifically at 98-7-52, is where we keep Channapa Bricks running. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the locals around here, we’re the main spot they think of when they’re starting a build. We keep a good pile of bricks ready most of the time because you never know when a big order might come in out of nowhere. The yard is simple, just a lot of space for the bricks and a small shed where we keep the books and take a break when it’s too hot. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we’ve seen the area grow quite a bit. It’s nice to drive around Kalghatg and see houses that were built with bricks that came out of our yard. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing our name and showing up. The work is physical and it wears you out by the end of the week, but it’s honest. We load the trucks by hand mostly, which takes time but ensures we don't break too many along the way. If you’re passing by on Karwar Road, you’ll see us there, usually moving things around or talking to a contractor. It’s just a regular business run by regular people who know a bit about building materials. We stay until the last truck is loaded every single day.
