The Light Eye Hospital

The Light Eye Hospital is located at No. 39 D on the Bypass Road, and if you know that road, you know how busy it can get. It feels like the Bypass Road just keeps going and going, which is probably why the address lists it a few times. Our building sits right there amidst all the traffic and the trucks heading out of town. Inside, though, we try to keep things much more focused. It’s an eye hospital, so everything is about lighting and making sure people can see where they are going. We have various rooms set up for eye exams, and there are some machines that look quite complicated but are actually pretty simple once you get used to them. The waiting area has some basic chairs and a stack of old magazines that nobody really reads. Most of the staff has been working here on the bypass for a long time, so we’re used to the hum of the cars outside. It’s not a place where we do a lot of fancy marketing or try to look like a corporate office. We just keep the floors clean and the lenses wiped down. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to get in and out of the driveway because of the bypass traffic, but once people arrive, we get them sorted out. It’s a practical, straightforward place where we just focus on eyes all day long.
