We operate out of Sengalmedu in the Maravadi area, which is a bit of a trek if you aren't from around Dharmapuri. S. Sasikumar runs the daily operations here, and he took over from his father, S. Subban. This is a very rural part of the district, so most of our work involves traveling out to different sites across Periyanahalli and the surrounding villages. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, we have a small place where we keep our tools, some bags of cement, and the paperwork for the various building projects we have going on. The weather out here in Dharmapuri can be really dry and dusty, especially when we are out on a construction site all day long. Most of the people who work with us are from this same post-office area, so we all know each other pretty well. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with suppliers to get materials delivered to the right spot on time. It’s hard work and involves a lot of standing around in the sun, but it’s what we do. When we aren't at a site, we are usually back at the base in Sengalmedu figuring out the plans for the next job. We don’t have any fancy mission statements; we just try to build things that won't fall down and keep our local clients happy.
