Laxmivasupradha General Store

Our general store is located at 569 Dharmapuri Road. It’s been our family’s livelihood for quite a few years now. We sell pretty much everything a household might need on short notice. Whether it’s some tea leaves, a bar of soap, or some biscuits for the kids, we usually have it somewhere on the shelves. The shop is quite small, so things can get a bit cluttered, but that’s just the way a local store looks. We don't have any of those fancy modern displays. We just put the stock out where people can see it. Dharmapuri Road is a busy place, and we see a lot of people passing by every day. We’ve gotten to know most of the families in the neighborhood. It’s nice to have a chat with the regulars while they’re picking up their groceries. We don’t do any advertising. People just know we’re here if they forget something at the big market. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people realize they’ve run out of something. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and we like being our own bosses. We just keep the shelves stocked and try to be helpful when someone comes in looking for something specific. It’s just a simple life running a small shop. We don’t worry about big things, just the daily sales.
