Al Kausar Herbal Hospital

Being on Mosque Street in New Town Vaniyambadi means we are right in the middle of everything. You can hear the sounds from the street all day long while we work. Al Kausar Herbal Hospital has been at No. 370 for quite a bit. We deal mostly with herbs and traditional ways of looking after people. It’s a bit different from the big glass hospitals you find in the bigger cities. Here, the air smells like dried plants and roots most of the time. Some people find that comforting, while others are just used to it. We have a few rooms for folks who need to stay longer, and it gets a bit crowded on market days when everyone is in town. The furniture is old but sturdy. We don't go for much decoration because there's always too much work to do. Our staff lives nearby, so we know most families in the area. We open early because that's when people like to come before it gets too hot outside. Sometimes we run out of a specific herb and have to wait for the next delivery, but that's just how it goes with natural things. It’s a practical place for people who want something other than just pills. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day without making a big fuss about it.
